Melbourne's Iconic Leather Party - BEYOND - Celebrates 10 years


A Decade of Decadence – A Celebration of Sleaze – A Lifetime in Leather

Join Dean and James this Thursday 9th September as they talk to Tim Farrell and his partner Andrew, the two guys responsible for reinvigorating Melbourne’s Leather Scene.  The pair celebrate a mile-stone mid-September with Beyond Black 10.  It marks a decade of cutting edge leather dance parties known around the world for their celebration of leather in an inclusive, attitude-free environment and with a sexual energy that is palpable.
The 10th Anniversary of Beyond will encompass four days of events, each infused with Beyond’s irrefutable style and love of leather. 
Thursday 16th September – Spit N Polish: Beyond Special
Australia’s longest running leather & fetish weekly event, Spit N Polish, kicks off the Beyond Black 10th anniversary celebrations in style with buzz cuts, boot shines and heaps of hot leather and fetish enthusiasts around every corner. Dark beats by DJ Mykelbal (FUR Party).

Friday 17th September – Beyond The Dance Floor (photographic exhibition and show)
The Laird Hotel celebrates 10 years of Beyond with distinction as your host, Dean Beck launches his fourth solo photographic exhibition.  Come behind the scenes and Beyond The Dance Floor of Australia’s iconic leather dance party.  Dean’s privileged position as Beyond’s official photographer takes you where no cameras are allowed, delivering a unique insight to Melbourne’s leather scene.
Then relax with mates over a beer or three and enjoy what unfolds as the Men of Mannhaus present the mystery and magnetism that is Beyond.

Saturday 18th September – BEYOND BLACK 10

Meet Daniel Scott - star of Jersey Boys

Jersey Boys has been the longest running stage musical hit in Melbourne since Phantom of the Opera and tonight on Hide & Seek we are joined by one of the Stars of the show, Daniel Scott, who plays the camp roll of Bob Crewe; musical producer for The Four Seasons.
Daniel was born and raised in the Western suburbs of Sydney and by age fourteen, he was an accomplished pianist and had appeared in productions of Oliver!, The Wizard of Oz, The Sound of Music, You're A Good Man Charlie Brown, Dick Whittington and His Cat and Desperado.
Daniel landed the plum roll of Adam/Felicia in the first Austrlaian production of Priscilla The Musical. He has also Starred in Dusty - the Original Pop Diva (as Neil Tennant, Al Saxon, the "Crazy Italian" and Eden Kane). Other theatre credits include Shout! (Johnny O'Keefe), Cats (Rum Tum Tugger), Burt Bacharach's What The World Needs Now and his one man shows Give Us A Break, Ikonika, The Sweet and Low Down and Natural Born Hooker. Daniel’s television and film credits include the ABC's The Wizard of Solmar, Nine’s Young Lions, the film Moulin Rouge, and Julian Temple’s The Eternity Man for Channel 4 UK and the ABC.
