HIDE & SEEK – Sex and The Church

Fiona Pattern from ASP Talks About The Church

They don't support gender equity. They stigmatize the GLBTIQ community. They have a pretty bad record on child sexual abuse. They insist their spokespersons be male, single and celibate and they believe all things regarding the business of sex, causes violence in today’s society.

They are collectively known as…..The Church. Fiona Pattern from The Australian Sex Party, joins Hide and Seek in the Studio to highlight the hypocrisy of religious institutions.

In Australia alone, more than 500 Clergy have been convicted sexually abusing children and destroying the lives of thousands of children. Fiona believes a Royal Commission is urgently needed to thoroughly investigate the roll The Church has played, often knowingly.

You can find out lots more regarding this subject at deception.org.au

In Australia, one in three girls and one in six boys will be sexually abused prior to becoming an adult.

A survey in 1994 revealed that, on average, a pedophile molests 148 children. The survey interviewed 453 pedophiles and discovered they had collectively abused more than 67,000 children.

One organisation picking up the pieces of these shattered lives is Bravehearts and I highly recommend you visit their web site to see the wonderful work that they do.
